Baltimore Event Strengthens Fatherhood Bonds

In Baltimore, a significant event took place aimed at challenging stereotypes and providing fathers with essential resources. Baltimore Mayor Brandon M. Scott joined City Council member Paris Gray in leading a stroller walk at Cylburn Arboretum.

One participant, Sean Branch Jr., pushed his 3-week-old son in a stroller along a shaded path. As he walked, a gentle breeze provided relief from the warm weather. He was proudly wearing a black shirt featuring purple lettering, declaring: “My First Father’s Day.”

This gathering served as an opportunity for fathers to connect and share experiences. Participants were offered resources and support to strengthen their roles within their families and communities. The collective effort aimed to transform perceptions and emphasize the vital role fathers play.
