Jackie, a well-loved bald eagle known through a live stream, has passed away. Her life, along with her partner Shadow, captivated viewers from their perch atop a Jeffrey pine near Big Bear Lake in California. Jackie was thought to be 14 years old.
Their story gained attention as fans followed the pair’s bonding and dedication to their nest. The bald eagles, Jackie and Shadow, were often observed caring for their eggs. This spectacle took place near Big Bear Lake back in March 2022.
Her presence was chronicled by Friends of Big Bear Valley and the Big Bear Eagle Nest Cam, in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service. Over the years, Jackie became a symbol of resilience and companionship for many fans across the globe.
