Ben Affleck and His Son Samuel: A Lesson in Luxury and Hard Work

Ben Affleck’s 14-year-old son Samuel has shown a fascination with Lamborghinis. This interest surfaced four years after a minor incident involving a luxury car. During a podcast session with Kerry Washington, Affleck talked about Samuel’s liking for expensive items.

Affleck, who has three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, noted that unlike his older children, Samuel seems to have inherited his taste for luxury. He recalled telling Samuel that buying a Lamborghini was out of the question. Affleck humorously recounted rejecting his son’s suggestion, asking why he should be driving a bright yellow Lamborghini.

The incident in question happened when Samuel sat in the driver’s seat of a yellow Lamborghini SUV at the 777 Exotics dealership in Los Angeles in 2022. Samuel accidentally moved the car, but fortunately, no damage occurred. The dealership reported no issues afterward, stating they look forward to seeing Affleck again.

Samuel’s interest in expensive items is not limited to cars. In March 2025, he expressed interest in a $6,000 pair of sneakers at a convention. Affleck responded by highlighting the importance of working for what you want, joking about the number of lawns Samuel would need to mow to afford them.

Affleck, who co-parents his children with Garner, aims to teach them the value of hard work. He shared how his children are unimpressed by his Hollywood achievements. They were more fascinated by Affleck’s viral meme featuring multiple Dunkin’ iced coffees, which ultimately led to a partnership with the coffee brand.

Affleck emphasized the lesson for his children: understanding that success comes from hard work. This approach reflects his desire to prepare them for life’s realities beyond their famous parents.
