British law enforcement has announced the rearrest of two men implicated in a potential terrorism conspiracy planned by Iran. The alleged target is a British air base utilized by U.S. bombers.
The suspects were detained with allegations of “assisting a foreign intelligence service,” as per British counterterrorism authorities. This suggests that evidence has surfaced, connecting the scheme to Iranian security agencies.
In September, a B1 bomber was seen preparing for takeoff, as law enforcement maintained security at a checkpoint near RAF Fairford air base. The arrest underscores the ongoing efforts to thwart security threats involving international actors.
