Bruce Springsteen seemingly overlooked Chris Christie during a concert in Brooklyn. A video shared online shows Springsteen moving through the crowd but walking past Christie without acknowledgment. Christie extended his hand like other fans, but the 76-year-old artist did not respond.
It’s uncertain if Springsteen ignored the former New Jersey governor intentionally. Fox News Digital has reached out to the musician’s representative for clarification. Christie appeared unfazed and continued clapping as the concert progressed.
A social media user, Mike Ryan, highlighted the moment, saying, “HAHAHA Bruce Springsteen WAS NOT HAVING IT with Chris Christie. THE SNUB!” However, not all viewers agreed. Some commented that Springsteen might have mistaken Christie for someone directing him.
“Christie is a huge Bruce fan,” another user mentioned. “You can see him in a MSG live video from a few years ago.” Others noted the two are reportedly friendly, suggesting that Springsteen might not have noticed Christie due to facing a different direction.
Springsteen has consistently criticized Republican President Donald Trump, with pointed remarks during his “Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour.” During a performance, he discussed challenging times for American values, unauthorized wars abroad, and issues with immigration processes.
Springsteen addressed concerns about Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Justice Department, then shifted focus to the White House. He accused the administration of undermining American ideals and engaging in unprecedented corruption, stating that the U.S. no longer reliably stands as a democracy defender.
