Carmen Electra turned heads on the red carpet at the 35th Anniversary of The Abbey Food & Bar. Embracing a look reminiscent of her Playboy days, she wore a leopard-print bodysuit paired with themed bunny ears. Her ensemble was completed with a bow tie, cufflinks, sheer black tights, a black purse, jewelry, and high heels.
Opting to keep her hair long and straight, Electra enhanced her look with striking silver eyeshadow and bold lashes. Her choice of outfit was a nod to her Playboy past. Although she never attained Playmate status, Electra made five appearances in the magazine. In one issue, she wore the iconic bunny costume.
Electra first graced Playboy’s pages with a nude photo shoot for the May 1996 issue, followed by another appearance in June 1997. Reflecting on her experiences, she expressed disbelief and excitement in a 2019 interview with Fox News Digital. “Marilyn Monroe began with Playboy, and those are women I admire,” she shared.
Her features in the magazine led Hollywood executives to notice her, paving the way for her role on the popular show “Baywatch.” Electra joined the series in its eighth season in 1997. During a 90s convention in September 2024, she recalled her trying days before fame, mentioning that she was once homeless in Los Angeles.
Electra’s career has since evolved. In 2022, she joined the subscription platform OnlyFans. She described the decision as straightforward, emphasizing the control and creative freedom it allows her. Electra commented, “For once, I have the chance to be my own boss.”
