The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has officially announced the end of a recent outbreak of a microscopic parasite. This outbreak had affected thousands of individuals and was traced back to shredded iceberg lettuce from central Mexico.
The CDC highlighted a substantial decrease in infection rates as a key factor in declaring the outbreak over. Additionally, contaminated lettuce has been removed from stores and restaurants, which contributed to controlling the spread.
