Comedian Jimmy Kimmel took a jab at President Donald Trump as the announcement of the Nobel Peace Prize winner in Oslo approached. During his monologue on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday night, Kimmel humorously predicted that Trump would react emotionally, likening it to a newborn baby’s cry.
Kimmel began his show with a nod to the culture of Hollywood, saying, “We are coming to you from Hollywood, the most self-congratulatory city in the world.” He elaborated that the city gives itself awards throughout the year. “But none of them, not the Oscar, not the Peabody, not even the coveted People’s Choice, compares to the award being handed out in Oslo tomorrow.”
As he turned his attention to the Nobel Peace Prize, Kimmel noted that the award would be announced “just hours” from that moment. He added humorously, “And that means it is that magical time of the year when our president, Donald J.D. Bug Trump, cries like a newborn baby, even though he doesn’t care about the Nobel Prize at all.”
