Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur, 80, from Ohio, was involved in a car accident on Sunday. She was on her way to a church service near Toledo.
According to her office, she was in the passenger seat when her vehicle was hit. Her injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
Despite being hospitalized, Kaptur was reported to be active and alert by Sunday evening.
