David Warrington has stepped down as White House counsel after serving the administration of President Donald Trump for over a year and a half. He played a critical role during a presidency heavily challenged by legal battles.
Initially, Warrington worked as general counsel for Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. He played a crucial role in opposing efforts to remove Trump from state ballots and represented the president in civil and constitutional matters.
Warrington’s tenure saw him opposing the legal tactics that aimed to hinder Trump’s administration and policies. His experience was vital in promoting Trump’s agenda.

In his role as White House counsel, Warrington contributed significantly to the selection of appellate and district judges. These judges include figures like Judge Emil Bove on the Third Circuit and Judge Eric Tung on the Ninth Circuit. His actions ensured a legacy that will align with constitutional principles for years.
Warrington also fought against judicial obstructions from Democrat-led venues, which hindered Trump’s electoral mandate. These efforts aimed to address issues such as border security, illegal immigration, government inefficiencies, and the accountability of Justice Department officials.
