Disney World has started introducing new trash cans throughout its resort, impacting the four theme parks and two water parks since the summer of 2026.
The flat-topped trash cans, which had grown popular among fans and even inspired merchandise, are being replaced. Additionally, they served a dual purpose as makeshift tables.
In 2021, Skip Sher and other Disney enthusiasts gathered at Epcot, near Orlando, Florida. They convened at a trash can in the United Kingdom Pavilion outside a pub, planning to use it as their meeting point for future visits.
