Dispatch Audio Reveals Details in Josh Jacobs’ Alleged Domestic Violence Incident

Newly released dispatch audio has provided further context to the domestic violence incident involving Josh Jacobs, a running back for the Green Bay Packers. The audio, sourced from TMJ 4, captures a dispatcher communicating with a police officer about disturbances heard within Jacobs’ Wisconsin residence.

The dispatcher remarks on hearing ‘yelling and screaming’ through an open line at Jacobs’ home, suggesting the involvement of a male and female. Additional audio from another call reveals a neighbor reporting an alleged assault at Jacobs’ residence.

When police arrived, Jacobs was no longer present. He had reportedly left the scene in a Mercedes G-Wagon, but authorities were able to track the vehicle’s license plate. An alert was issued to intercept the car if spotted.

Following investigations by the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department, Jacobs was arrested and charged with five domestic abuse-related offenses. These charges include domestic abuse battery, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, strangulation and suffocation, and intimidation of a victim. Jail records categorize strangulation and suffocation as a felony, while the other charges are misdemeanors.

Jacobs’ legal team, comprising David Z. Chesnoff and Clarence Duchac, has stated that Jacobs denies the charges against him. The attorneys emphasize the preliminary nature of the investigation and urge for an unbiased judicial process.

The NFL is informed of the situation and has been in contact with the Packers. Green Bay has refrained from commenting further, citing the ongoing investigation.

Josh Jacobs completed his second season with the Packers, accumulating 929 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns in 2025 on 1,234 carries. In 2024, he delivered 1,329 yards on 301 attempts, alongside 15 touchdowns. Before joining Green Bay, Jacobs played five seasons with the Las Vegas Raiders, leading the league in 2022 with 1,653 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns over 17 games.
