Donna Mills Reflects on Playboy Photo Shoot and Newest Venture

Donna Mills, the well-known actress, spoke out about her experience with Playboy magazine and the repercussions of her decision not to pose nude. At 85, Mills revealed that her refusal led to the magazine pulling her planned cover.

“I was supposed to be on the cover, and they didn’t put me on the cover because I didn’t show anything,” she stated. Mills agreed to the photoshoot only after she was assured that nudity would not be required. However, during the shoot, she faced pressure from the photographer to reveal more than she was comfortable with.

The photographer kept trying to get me, ‘Move that sheet down a little bit,’ she said.

Mills, known for her role as Abby Cunningham on “Knots Landing,” shared that the photos from the shoot were provocative without being explicit. She remains convinced that her character, Abby, would support her latest endeavor.

Recently, Mills launched an account on OnlyFans, a subscription platform, to share some of these never-before-seen images. Initially unfamiliar with OnlyFans, Mills was reassured by the company’s encouragement to maintain her comfort levels.

“They said, ‘You do what you’re comfortable with.’ I loved the opening it gave me to connect with my fans,” Mills explained. Her content aims to be “spicy,” reflecting her longstanding approach to her career and public persona.

Mills obtained enthusiastic support from her family before joining OnlyFans. Her daughter and spouse both expressed trust in her judgment, encouraging her to pursue this new avenue.

The actress sees OnlyFans as an opportunity to inspire others, particularly women, to view life as a series of chapters. “I’d like to show people that it doesn’t have to be over. It’s just a new chapter,” she emphasized.

With this platform, Mills reconnects with fans who admired her iconic role in “Knots Landing” from 1980 to 1989, where she was known for her blonde hair, bold fashion, and memorable performances. Mills firmly believes her character Abby would have approved of her decision, always looking for what could move her forward.
