Enes Kanter Freedom Banned from Chicago Sky Games

Enes Kanter Freedom, who is known for his outspoken views against transgender athletes in women’s sports, was removed by security during a game between the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever. This incident occurred after a confrontation with Natasha Cloud from the Sky. Following this, the Chicago Sky banned him from attending future games.

Michael Alter, the majority owner of the Sky, confirmed on Tuesday that Freedom’s actions during the game led to this decision. Alter spoke to The Athletic, stating that Freedom’s behavior did not align with the expected conduct and posed a possible threat.

During the incident, Freedom, who was at the game wearing a shirt stating, “WOMAN noun. adult human female,” initiated an argument with Cloud during a timeout in the third quarter at Wintrust Arena.

“As far as a lifetime ban, if someday he’s able to demonstrate he’s capable of being at a game and conducting himself in compliance with our rules and not be a threat to people, might we reconsider?” Alter said. “I suppose it’s possible.”

As of now, there has been no discussion with the league regarding a broader ban from other WNBA venues.
