Initially deported in 2020, Martinez-Ballinas attempted illegal reentry in Texas in the following year, leading to a 15-month prison sentence. Despite subsequent deportation in October 2022, he reentered the country undetected before being arrested in Maryland in December 2023.

Walden criticizes proposals from certain Democratic leaders to abolish ICE, stressing the importance of immigration enforcement. He states, “You’re never gonna understand the pain…until it happens to you. It can happen to anyone at any time.”
