On October 3, former special counsel Jack Smith was seen at a music festival wearing a “No Kings” T-shirt. Smith, known for leading two criminal cases against then-former President Donald Trump in 2023, found himself unexpectedly in the spotlight when Senator Eric Schmitt’s evidence against him in a Senate Judiciary Committee collapsed swiftly. This incident attracted attention last week.
Over the weekend, Smith attended the inaugural Power to the People festival in Maryland. His attire, featuring a T-shirt for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour from earlier this year, drew notable attention. The black T-shirt displayed the text “Land of Hope & Dreams American Tour,” “Springsteen & E Street,” and included the words “No Kings.”
Tom Morello organized the festival, which had performances by Bruce Springsteen, the Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl, and Public Enemy. Smith’s presence did not go unnoticed. Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters dedicated the song “My Hero” to Smith during their set.
