Charley Hull, the renowned golfer, recently executed a prank on her caddie Adam Woodward that sparked mixed reactions. Hull gave Woodward a fictitious scratch-off lottery ticket, leading him to believe he had won $100,000. This incident occurred just before the Women’s British Open at the Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club in England. Despite facing criticism on social media, Hull remains unfazed.
When asked if she regretted her actions, Hull replied, “No, and people that have complaints about it, I’d say loosen up.” Her blunt response highlighted her stance amid the criticisms.

According to Hull, Woodward found the prank amusing and did not take it to heart. “He thought it was funny after. He’s not uptight. If people don’t like it, they can lump it,” Hull commented.
To make amends, Hull promised Woodward 100 scratch cards, saying, “Hopefully he can earn more money than that as well this week if we play well.”
Hull shared that she purchased the fake ticket on Monday and offered it to Woodward the following day. Woodward celebrated his supposed win, exclaiming his good fortune and contemplating taking a break from work, before realizing the truth.
In recounting the event, Hull described Woodward’s jubilant reaction, “He’s running around the player’s lounge, saying ‘I’ve won $100,000, I’m taking today off.'” She added humorously, “He was sweating, he was trembling, and he nearly quit the job.”
Currently, Hull and Woodward are competing strongly at the Women’s Open, with Hull tied for seventh place at 2-under par after two rounds, trailing the leader by four strokes.
