Gordon Ramsay, known for his intense presence on TV, emphasizes one key rule at home unrelated to cooking. He shares this focus on respect with his six children. At the FOX Upfront 2026 event, Ramsay highlighted the importance of manners, describing them as crucial skills that require no cost.
“The one thing I’ve taught them all, brilliantly, are manners,” Ramsay shared with Fox News Digital, reinforcing his belief in the value of respectful conduct.
The Ramsay household includes Megan, born in 1998, twins Jack and Holly born in 1999, Matilda known as “Tilly” born in 2001, Oscar in 2019, and Jesse in 2023. Regardless of their pursuits, whether military, academic, or living under public scrutiny, the family upholds this principle.
Manners are the most important thing in life, but they cost zero.
Ramsay is firm in rejecting entitlement within his home despite his extensive restaurant, TV, and social media empire. He remarked on Jack’s role as a Royal Marine, Megan’s work as a police officer, Holly’s involvement in fashion, and Tilly’s university studies. Tana Ramsay noted that having a family background without degrees shaped their upbringing of six children.
Despite maintaining a structured household, Ramsay admits impatience in the kitchen. To Fox News Digital, he described being irritated by aspiring cooks repeatedly making the mistake of seasoning food only at the end of its preparation.
Food needs to be cooked with seasoning, not ignored for 90% of the journey.
Ramsay’s passion for competitive cooking shows remains strong, driven by the dynamic interactions among social media influencers, amateurs, and professionals. He disclosed that the mix often leads to friction, adding another layer of excitement to cooking under pressure.
FOX continues to support Ramsay’s television projects with renewals for “Kitchen Nightmares,” “Hell’s Kitchen,” “Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service,” “Next Level Baker,” and “Next Level Chef.”
