The on-and-off relationship between Hayden Panettiere and Brian Hickerson took a tragic turn. Recently, Greenville police were seen at a South Carolina residence linked to Brian and Zach Hickerson following Panettiere’s untimely death.
Officers appeared to be conducting a welfare check, but the door went unanswered. They were sighted twice in the morning, indicating heightened concern. Inquiries to the Greenville Police Department remain unanswered.

A police report states that Brian Hickerson was present at the apartment when Panettiere was found unresponsive. His involvement marks another chapter in a complex relationship previously marred by allegations of domestic violence and his conviction.
Hickerson, along with his brother Zach, called emergency services after discovering Panettiere unresponsive. A search warrant was issued for the location.
Wladimir Klitschko, Panettiere’s former fiancé, has expressed his determination to preserve her memory for their daughter, Kaya.
Brian Hickerson had listed an address linked to Zach prior to Panettiere’s death on August 16. Hickerson and Zach were with Panettiere when she became unresponsive. Zach reportedly showed strong emotion when paramedics attempted to revive Panettiere, unlike Hickerson, who reacted after her death was confirmed.
An array of medications allegedly used by Panettiere was provided to the officers by Hickerson.
The tumultuous relationship began in 2018 after Panettiere’s separation from Wladimir Klitschko. Hickerson, originating from South Carolina, transitioned from real estate to acting with a minor role in “M.F.A.”
Before her death, Panettiere and Hickerson traveled from Los Angeles to Greenville. Despite a brief breakup in 2022, they reunited in 2023.
Their history involved serious legal issues. In 2019, Hickerson was charged with domestic violence related to Panettiere. More charges arose in 2020, including felony counts of corporal injury and assault with a deadly weapon. In 2021, he faced sentencing after pleading no contest to some charges, leading to the dismissal of others.
Through a public statement, Panettiere emphasized the importance of sharing her experience to support others facing abuse. She sought to ensure others would not suffer similarly.
“I am coming forward with the truth about what happened to me with the hope that my story will empower others in abusive relationships,” Panettiere shared.
Three days before her death, Hickerson attempted to have his felony charges reduced in Los Angeles, but the motion was denied.
Hayden Panettiere’s life and career, including her role in “Nashville,” faced challenges, compounded by personal struggles and her passing at the age of 36.
