During the press conference, Aliyah Boston, Makayla Timpson, and head coach Stephanie White were discussing the team’s focus amidst increased attention over the past few seasons. Boston emphasized maintaining professional focus, stating, “For us, it’s about coming in and winning games. There’s always outside noise, but we keep the main thing the main thing, and that’s hoop.”
After Boston spoke, an OutKick reporter attempted to ask about Sophie Cunningham’s remarks regarding trans athletes in women’s sports. A representative from the Fever interceded, promptly ending the press conference and excluding the exchange from the team’s official YouTube upload.
