Influencer Faces Serious Allegations and Legal Troubles

Braden Peters, a social media influencer known online as “Clavicular,” faces serious legal charges. Accusations against him have emerged from a 17-year-old girl, who claims Peters raped her. Peters is linked to “looksmaxxing,” a subculture centered on enhancing male physical appearance.

Court documents reveal that Peters, aged 20, faces multiple charges. These include rape, administering drugs to facilitate this act, and supplying alcohol to a minor. The alleged incident occurred on May 23, 2025. The charges were filed in Orleans District Court, Massachusetts, and first reported by The Bulwark.

Peters denies the claims. His representative, Mitchell Jackson, conveyed this in an email to NPR. Attempts by NPR to reach Peters were unsuccessful.

Peters denies the allegations.

The case involves Instagram conversations where Peters purportedly compensated the girl to appear on his live streams. Arrangements allegedly led to the minor visiting Peters’ home in Chatham, Massachusetts. At the residence, Peters reportedly instructed her to misrepresent her age and claimed on video that vodka was water.

The victim disclosed feelings of pressure to consume alcohol. She allegedly became visibly intoxicated after a few drinks. Accusations include Peters kissing her and initiating non-consensual sex. The girl did not undergo a forensic exam post-incident.

NPR maintains confidentiality by not disclosing alleged victims’ identities. Previous legal action includes a civil lawsuit in Florida. This lawsuit accused Peters of battery, fraud, emotional distress, and unauthorized name/likeness usage. Claims in Miami-Dade County involve Peters providing alcohol and engaging in non-consensual acts along with injecting the girl’s face with an unapproved substance during a live stream.

Andrew Moss, the girl’s lawyer, confirmed she filed both lawsuits. Peters’ representative dismissed the plaintiff’s handling of the legal process. Jackson criticized the amended lawsuit and accused the plaintiff of knowing the injection procedures and seeking money.

She files a lawsuit and doesn’t include sexual assault as a count. Then she amends it and adds it a couple of months later.

Peters’ legal challenges are not limited to this case. In March, Osceola County, Florida, issued a warrant after Peters allegedly instigated a fight, sharing the video online. Following his arrest, charges were dropped. In April, a viral video showed Peters allegedly shooting a firearm at a dead alligator.

Peters has not issued an official public statement. Yet, on social media site X, Peters criticized the lawsuit.

Trying to get my attention in any way possible, a lawsuit? Seriously…really petty of you.

Peters’ arraignment is slated for October 14.
