The NFL and Roc Nation have yet to announce the Super Bowl LXI halftime show performer, but popular prediction markets are showing strong opinions. As of Tuesday, both Kalshi and Polymarket are heavily favoring Jay-Z as the headliner for February 2027.
Jay-Z, who founded Roc Nation, is notable for his influence on the selection of halftime acts since 2020. According to Kalshi, there’s a 91% likelihood that Jay-Z will perform, with even higher odds on Polymarket.
Jay-Z was recently seen at the World Cup match between Brazil and Norway in East Rutherford, New Jersey on July 5, 2026. This has added to the speculation about his potential appearance at the Super Bowl.
Apart from Jay-Z, other potential performers with lesser odds include Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, Harry Styles, Post Malone, and Dua Lipa. These predictions arise from user insights at the prediction markets.
It’s important to note that prediction markets like Kalshi and Polymarket operate with rules similar to stock markets, banning insider trading. However, an early report from Puck suggested that Jay-Z may have chosen himself for the halftime show. This report cited multiple unnamed sources.
Despite Jay-Z’s prominent career, he hasn’t yet headlined a Super Bowl halftime show. The NFL typically announces halftime performers several months before the event. For example, Bad Bunny headlined Super Bowl LX, with the announcement made on September 28, 2025. Kendrick Lamar was announced for Super Bowl LIX on September 8, 2024.
The final decision-maker for the halftime show is clear. “It’s a decision that Jay makes,” said Jesse Collins, the event co-producer, in a 2014 interview with Variety. “He’s made it every year, and it’s been amazing. He’s always picked right!”
