WWE Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield, known as JBL, is making waves in social media. He has teamed up with BZZR, a fresh social media platform dedicated to sports enthusiasts. Besides JBL, other notable figures from pro wrestling, like MVP, Kayla Becker, and Dwayne Swayze, have also joined BZZR’s ranks.
BZZR aims to provide a space for sports fans, away from the clutter usually found on other platforms.
BZZR: ‘The world’s first streaming and social media platform built exclusively for sports.’
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Layfield shared his enthusiasm about BZZR. His interest peaked after learning about the Texas Rangers’ involvement with the company. Being a devoted Rangers fan, Layfield has a personal connection to the team, rooted in memories of listening to games with his grandfather.
During WWE WrestleMania 21 in Los Angeles, JBL noted that the partnership with BZZR felt right. He said, “I’m a huge Texas Rangers fan, and they are working with BZZR, which caught my interest.”
What appeals to Layfield about BZZR is its dedicated focus on sports. According to JBL, BZZR provides an environment free from distractions common in social media. He appreciates how users must have verified profiles, which reduces anonymity and discourages negative interactions.
‘You actually go on something and don’t expect anyone to tell you, ‘You suck’ or you ‘look stupid’,’ Layfield remarked.
JBL’s wrestling accolades include being the 20th Triple Crown champion and the 10th Grand Slam champion in WWE history. Additionally, he has served as a commentator for AAA Lucha Libre Worldwide.
