Kai Trump Undergoes Surgery for Golf Injury

Kai Trump, President Trump’s oldest grandchild and a competitive golfer for the University of Miami, has had another wrist surgery following a golf injury. The 19-year-old shared on Instagram that the procedure was successful. She posted a selfie from her hospital bed with her left arm in a cast and sling.

Trump sustained the wrist injury during her first tournament of the season. “While I had hoped to avoid surgery, after discussions with my family, coaches, and athletic training staff, I know I made the best decision for my long-term health and my future in the game I love,” she stated.

In her social media post, she expressed determination to embrace the unexpected turn in her journey. “It’s certainly not how I envisioned the next few months, but sometimes the journey takes an unexpected turn, and I’m choosing to embrace this one with patience, and a whole lot of determination,” she added.

The young athlete acknowledged the time needed for recovery. She feels fortunate to have support from those around her. “Having the right people by your side makes all the difference, and I couldn’t be more grateful,” she noted.

Trump thanked Dr. Carlson and the team at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York for their care and appreciated her teammates, coaches, and family for their support. “For now, it’s all about healing and trusting the process. I can’t wait to be back with my team, doing what I love. I’ll be back before you know it, stronger and more grateful than ever! Go Canes!” she wrote.

In previous reports, Trump shared her experiences on “Fox & Friends” about her earlier wrist surgery six months prior. She admitted feeling nervous about starting her freshman year and Division I golf at the University of Miami.

When asked where she got her competitive spirit, Trump credited her mother and grandfather. “My mom’s competitive, too, but definitely Grandpa’s very competitive,” she remarked.
