Kate Middleton made a significant appearance at the Trooping the Colour ceremony on Saturday, showcasing coordinated looks with her children. The Princess of Wales, 44, attracted attention in a baby blue Catherine Walker outfit paired with a Philip Treacy hat. The event marks an annual military parade celebrating King Charles III’s official birthday.

One of the highlights that captivated royal observers was Kate’s choice of jewelry, along with Princess Charlotte’s matching accessory.

Kate wore Princess Diana’s famous three-strand pearl bracelet, which serves as a homage to the late royal. Across from her mother in the royal carriage, 11-year-old Princess Charlotte appeared to wear a similar bracelet. Princess Charlotte delighted onlookers by waving while returning to Buckingham Palace, illustrating the ongoing legacy of royal tradition.

The bracelet, designed by Nigel Milne, holds significant royal history. Diana wore the pearl-and-diamond piece at multiple events in 1989, including a Birthright charity event and a state banquet in Hong Kong, according to InStyle. After Diana’s passing in 1997, Prince William inherited the bracelet and later passed it on to Kate.

During Trooping the Colour, Charlotte wore a white dress with blue accents that coordinated with Prince George’s baby blue tie as they rode through London. Kate appeared in an open-top carriage with her sons, Prince George and Prince Louis, while Prince William participated in the horse-mounted military procession.

The coordinated family appearance was a part of Kate’s involvement with King Charles, Queen Camilla, and senior royals at one of the year’s most significant royal events.

Camilla wore a scarlet ceremonial coat with gold detailing and a dark hat topped with a white feather plume. Charles greeted the public in full military dress, adorned with medals and a blue sash, celebrating his official birthday.

This event provided a chance for Kate to partake in a high-profile public occasion as she resumes royal duties following her cancer diagnosis and recovery.

Royal experts note that Kate’s influence within the monarchy continues to grow. The “Kate Era,” according to author Christopher Andersen, began with her marriage to Prince William in 2011. He shared with Fox News Digital that no figure has had a greater impact on the monarchy than Kate in recent history.

Beyond wearing Diana’s treasured jewelry, Kate has previously honored the late Princess. At last year’s Trooping the Colour, she wore a powder-blue ensemble reminiscent of an outfit Diana wore in 1988.

This year’s celebration featured over 1,500 military personnel, 200 horses, and 400 musicians, concluding with the traditional Buckingham Palace balcony appearance and flypast.
