KC Navarro Reflects on TNA Slammiversary Experience and Overcoming Fear

KC Navarro recently participated in the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) X Division Championship match at Slammiversary. Although he didn’t win, the experience held significant personal value.

Navarro faced his mentor, Amazing Red, making the match memorable. Red’s skills in the ring highlighted the encounter, showcasing his experience and talent.

Navarro spoke about confronting his fear of heights. He explained that climbing the structure to reach the championship required overcoming personal hurdles.

“This Ultimate X was more special than the one at Rebellion last year,” Navarro stated. “I’m not fond of heights, so it takes me time to climb. Amazing Red made it special, having been a big mentor throughout my career.”

Red’s first match back added to the occasion’s importance for Navarro. He appreciated the chance to share the ring with his mentor again, hoping for Red’s return in future events.

Navarro recounted last year’s Slammiversary, where he competed despite a torn ACL. This year, he entered with a stronger knee. The Ultimate X match carries risks. Navarro risked further injury but seized the opportunity to compete with top wrestlers, including Leon Slater, Fabian Aichner, and Frankie Kazarian.

He acknowledged the physical and mental challenges associated with heights. Navarro relies on adrenaline and faith to perform during matches.

“I’m not a fan of heights, maybe due to past injury,” Navarro explained. “I keep God first and trust adrenaline when the bell rings. It’s crucial to maintain a positive mindset and aim to walk out healthy and possibly as a champion.”

Navarro continues a rivalry with TNA world champion Nic Nemeth. He aspires to climb the roster ranks through this competition.
