Keane Supports Israel, Praises Netanyahu at UN

General Jack Keane, a senior strategic analyst at Fox News, discussed the ongoing conflict involving Israel during a segment with Brian Kilmeade. Keane praised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech at the United Nations, emphasizing Israel’s efforts to protect civilians. He dismissed allegations of genocide against Israel and shared insights from his recent 11-day visit to the region, highlighting Gaza’s expansive tunnel network. Keane criticized Hamas for using civilians as human shields.

Navi Pillay, a notable jurist, received the Nobel Peace Prize for her contributions to peace and international law efforts. Pillay chaired a United Nations commission, which asserted in 2025 that Israel had committed genocide in Gaza. The findings specifically implicated Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

“There is intent to destroy the Palestinians in Gaza,” Pillay stated, referencing the criteria of the Genocide Convention.

Israel refuted the commission’s conclusion, describing it as inaccurate. Meanwhile, Nitsana Darshan-Leitner, president of the Shurat HaDin Law Center, expressed skepticism about Pillay’s Nobel recognition. She argued the award should honor peacemakers, critiquing Pillay for contributing to a political campaign against Israel.

Pillay has had a distinguished career. Born in South Africa, she founded her law firm in 1967, breaking racial barriers. Representing anti-apartheid activists, she secured legal rights for political prisoners, including Nelson Mandela. Mandela later nominated her to South Africa’s High Court, where she became the first non-white woman judge.

Pillay’s judicial career extended to international justice. She served on the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, playing a key role in the case against Jean-Paul Akayesu, establishing rape as a war crime. In 2003, she joined the International Criminal Court. Later, as the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, she criticized both Israel and Hamas for actions during the 2014 Gaza conflict.

Currently, Pillay is an ad hoc judge at the International Court of Justice, involved in a case against Burma concerning the Rohingya genocide accusations.
