“Fireworks, for sure,” Brunson said. “They’re gonna be electric. They’re gonna be definitely a team to keep your eye on. I mean, they reloaded this year, so it’s gonna be a tough test. We’ll be ready.”
The Knicks’ star commented on the sports analysts who predict the 76ers as the team to beat, acknowledging their “lot of firepower.” However, he stressed that the champions will remain focused on their own game, emphasizing that they are not backing down.
Brunson has been recovering from offseason wrist surgery and has worn a soft cast for several weeks. Despite this, he plans to join the game once cleared. “I feel good. I got a little more time in this, and then once this is off, we’ll figure out the best plan of action,” he stated about his recovery timeline.
Anticipation surrounds Brunson’s return alongside the Knicks’ core team, who are largely intact for the new season. The defending champs’ full starting lineup will return, solidifying their aims for another promising season.
