Logan Paul and Austin Theory successfully defended their WWE Tag Team Championship at “Saturday Night’s Main Event” against The Street Profits. This match, held in Fort Wayne, Indiana, lasted over 16 minutes and concluded with a decisive pinfall. Paul used brass knuckles to knock out Montez Ford, enabling Theory to secure the pin.
A notable moment occurred when Ford sent Paul flying over the top rope, nearly causing a serious landing issue for the social media star turned wrestler. Following their victory, news surfaced of an unfortunate turn of events. Reports indicated that Paul suffered an injury during the match, though the extent was initially unclear.
On Monday, WWE commentator Michael Cole confirmed that Paul had torn his triceps. This injury will sideline him for several months, impacting his rapid rise within the WWE. Since joining the company in 2021, Paul has embraced a heel persona, excelling in promos and in-ring performance. He swiftly captured the WWE United States Championship, holding it for 273 days, and seemed destined for further championship success.
Before the incident with The Street Profits, Paul and Theory were engaged in a feud with newcomer Joe Hendry. Hendry’s recent song and music video “Fire Logan Paul” added fuel to their rivalry. Despite Paul’s injury, Hendry might still face conflict with Paul’s stablemates, The Vision. Theory attacked Hendry on Monday’s episode of “Raw,” suggesting a developing rivalry between the two.
With Paul sidelined, WWE announced Bron Breakker stepping in to join Theory as the WWE Tag Team Champions. Although Paul’s WWE journey hits a roadblock, he appears equipped to manage this setback. While possibly absent from WWE TV, he can focus on recovery and other pursuits during his hiatus.
