Jenny Racicot, who accused Graham Platner of sexual assault, recently shared her story in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper. Racicot stated that Platner had drunkenly assaulted her at her home in 2021, describing the incident as rape. She detailed the violent struggle, mentioning a sewing cabinet being knocked over and a needle piercing her leg.
“This is something that I tried for many years to forget,” Racicot said.
Graham Platner, 41, has responded to these accusations, calling all allegations of nonconsensual behavior “categorically false” in a video posted on social media on Monday.
Racicot, who is also 41, shared that she initially met Platner on a dating app in 2019, describing him as “intelligent” and “charming,” but noted his tendency to self-medicate with alcohol. She recounted an evening in 2021 when Platner texted her about coming over.
“I said, ‘No, don’t come over,’” Racicot told CNN. She thought Platner understood her rejection but half an hour later, heard a noise and found him entering her unlocked home uninvited. Racicot described how Platner “jumped on top of” her while she was on the couch, exhibiting sexual intentions.
