Freese, reflecting on the wave of criticism, shared his emotional struggle. “It’s so hard to hear because if people saw us daily and knew us personally, they would realize how desperately we wanted success,” he expressed to ESPN on Tuesday.

He also mentioned his personal aspirations. “I feel a strong urge to return. It’s a direct goal to not just revisit the World Cup but to perform better and aim for the trophy,” he stated firmly.
