The New York Giants are dealing with setbacks following the initial optimism of their NFL season. Concerns mount as they assess the condition of their quarterback, Jaxson Dart.
Dart, now in his second NFL season, suffered an injury to his left knee during the Monday Night Football game against the Los Angeles Rams. The incident occurred in the first quarter when Rams defenders hit Dart from above and below. This combination forced his knee into an unnatural position.
The Giants also faced another scare with receiver Malik Nabers, who left the game after an incomplete pass. Nabers was seen holding his right shoulder but returned after a short break.
Jaxson Dart, wearing number six, left the field in Inglewood, California, after sustaining the injury. Following the hit, Dart was on the ground, clutching his knee. Fortunately, his leg was not firmly planted at the time, which may have prevented a severe injury like an ACL tear.
Reports suggest Dart might have sustained an MCL injury, based on information from an NFL source. If confirmed, Dart would avoid surgery, though he would miss several games. After the incident, Dart received initial treatment in the medical tent, with teammates waiting outside. He eventually limped to the locker room on his own.
In Dart’s absence, backup quarterback Jameis Winston took over. The team’s focus remains on evaluating Dart’s condition to ensure a quick recovery.
