The New York Giants have confirmed their commitment to quarterbacks Jaxson Dart and Jameis Winston for the upcoming seasons. The team plans to work with this duo for the next three years.
Jaxson Dart, the starting quarterback, is guaranteed to stay with the team for at least four years. This follows his selection as the No. 25 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, which includes a standard rookie contract.
Jameis Winston has agreed to a two-year extension with the Giants, news reported by Jordan Schultz. As Dart’s primary backup, Winston is a reliable option. Last season, he started two games, throwing for 567 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. His performance was based on 37 completions out of 66 attempts.
At 32, Winston has earned significant finances throughout his tenure in the NFL. He initially signed a $25.3 million contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, following his No. 1 selection in the 2015 NFL Draft. His subsequent earnings included $38.6 million with the New Orleans Saints, $4 million with the Cleveland Browns, and $8 million with the Giants.
The latest deal for Winston is valued at $13 million. The Giants have ensured stability by having just these two quarterbacks on their active roster, reflecting their strategic vision for the future.
