The Knicks continued their victorious streak at the 2026 ESPYS, held on Wednesday night. They secured five awards, celebrating their outstanding postseason performance. Jalen Brunson, named Finals MVP, was a significant contributor, earning three awards: Best NBA Player, Best Championship Performance, and Best Athlete — Men’s Sports. In the NBA Finals, Brunson delivered an impressive average of 32.6 points per game, including a remarkable 45-point performance in the decisive Game 5 victory for the Knicks.

OG Anunoby received the award for Best Play. He played a crucial role in Game 4 of the NBA Finals by helping the Knicks overturn a substantial 29-point deficit against the Spurs. Anunoby’s game-winning tip-in secured the victory at Madison Square Garden.
The Knicks also took home the award for Best Team, further highlighting their exceptional achievements.

Upon receiving his Best Championship Performance ESPY, Brunson expressed his gratitude. He stated, “First and foremost, I want to thank my family for sacrificing everything day in and day out. Thank you to [owner] Jim Dolan and the Knicks organization, [president] Leon [Rose], the front office, Mike Brown, my teammates — without them, none of this would be possible. They allow me to be me. I’m forever indebted to them,” according to the New York Post.
