Nicole Scherzinger Shares Behind-The-Scenes Details of Touring with the Pussycat Dolls

Nicole Scherzinger, at 48, offers a glimpse into the realities behind her glamorous public image as a member of the Pussycat Dolls. The singer recently shared an interesting post on Instagram, featuring a polished backstage selfie. In the photo, she appears with long voluminous hair, striking makeup, and toned abs revealed in a black sports bra and gray sweatpants. However, she also included a poignant image showing her injured leg.

In this second image, Scherzinger revealed extensive red marks and healing burns around her knee, extending down her leg. “What they see vs. what they don’t see…” she captioned her post, giving fans insight.

The injury occurred on September 26 in Düsseldorf, Germany, when boiling water accidentally spilled on her leg about an hour before her performance.

Despite this significant setback, Scherzinger decided to perform as planned. On Instagram Stories at that time, she expressed, “Nothing like boiling water falling on your leg an hour before your set. But the show must go on.” Through her latest posts, Scherzinger highlights the contrast between the glamorous image presented on stage and the physical challenges she faces.

Fans have expressed admiration for her tenacity. Comments on her Instagram praised her ability to perform under such circumstances, with one fan mentioning, “How you continued to put on a show even after that! Incredible.” Gloria Gaynor also showed support, calling her a warrior.

Scherzinger continues to perform as part of the “PCD Forever” tour, including a show in Dublin on October 5. The tour features Scherzinger alongside Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt, who have reunited for this tour.

The current tour is moving through several cities, with an upcoming performance scheduled for October 13 at London’s O2 Arena. The tour marks the return of the Pussycat Dolls to major venues, although Jessica Sutta, Carmit Bachar, and Melody Thornton are not participating this time around.

Jessica Sutta addressed her absence in a video shared by The Sun, expressing that she has no wish to reprise her role within the group. She noted it initially “broke her heart” but praised the performances of Scherzinger, Roberts, and Wyatt.

Sutta is currently focusing on her solo career, with a new single “Don’t Take Much” set for release on October 7.
