Bode Miller, an Olympic gold medalist and renowned American alpine skier, was arrested earlier this month on drug charges, according to TMZ Sports. Miller, a winner of six Olympic medals, faces one count of possession of a controlled substance and another for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Reports indicate that Miller posted a $5,000 bond for his release. He has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled to appear in court on July 29.

Miller’s Olympic career began at the 2002 Salt Lake City Games with two silver medals. Although he didn’t secure any medals in Italy four years later, he made a comeback in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics by clinching a gold in the super-combined event. He also earned a silver in the Super-G and a bronze in the downhill that year.

In Sochi, Miller added another bronze to his collection in the Super-G. He retired from competitive skiing in 2017 after an illustrious career.
Outside of the Olympics, Miller’s accomplishments include four World Championship golds and 33 World Cup race victories. These achievements make him the most successful male alpine skier in U.S. history.
