In Las Vegas, Omos entered his match against Rey Mysterio at Triplemania 34 Night 1 with confidence and a clear game plan. Standing almost two feet taller than the WWE legend, Omos had a significant advantage. A win would ensure his reinstatement to the AAA roster.
Omos succeeded, winning decisively. During the match, Mysterio launched a spirited offense, landing multiple 619s, a West Coast Pop, and a top-rope splash. Despite these efforts, Mysterio couldn’t secure the victory. Omos, known for his power moves, executed several bearhugs and a chokeslam, pinning Mysterio for the win.
The match, however, wasn’t the end. Omos continued to attack Mysterio after the bell, delivering additional assaults. As officials prepared to help Mysterio onto a stretcher, Omos seized the moment. He picked up the injured wrestler, strapped to a backboard, and slammed him through the announcer table. The crowd at MGM Grand Garden Arena expressed their dismay, booing Omos heavily.
The night hinted at more challenges for Rey Mysterio and his ally, El Grande Americano. Dominik Mysterio, Rey’s son, is set to defend the AAA Mega Championship against El Grande Americano on the second night of Triplemania 34. This event will take place at Arena CDMX in Mexico City.
