During Milan Fashion Week, Lewis Hamilton joined Colman Domingo at Ralph Lauren’s show. They admired a menswear collection that spanned from classic pinstripes to layered festival attire. Ralph Lauren has showcased menswear in its grand Milan palazzo for two seasons, attracting a notable audience. Attendees included Henry Golding from “Crazy Rich Asians,” Tom Hiddleston of “Avengers,” and U.S. actor Scott Eastwood.

Fans flocked outside in the heat to catch sight of celebrities such as Thai actor Nichakoon Khajornborirak, known as Meen, and Korean actor Kim Woo-bin, who paused to acknowledge the crowd. Domingo had a minor slip while retrieving his hand fan from the car. Reflecting on the incident, he said, “I was not going to leave that fan in that car. Then my heel just slid, and I was safe. But I got the fan, which was the most important thing.”

Daytime suits from Ralph Lauren’s luxury Purple line quickly morphed into tuxedo shirts and stiff bow ties under trailing patchwork denim coats that showed signs of distress. Looks were finished with berets worn askew, aviator glasses and pocket watch chains.

Domingo commented on the 1920s-inspired collection as he listened to Nat King Cole’s music playing. The show merged classic and modern styles. The Polo collection featured casual madras plaids, layered knitwear, rugby shirts, and light puffers suited for festivals or beach parties. Vibrant pinks and greens blended whimsically.

The renowned Polo Bear motif on knitwear, dressed to match runway styles, added charm. Domingo noted, “I saw beautiful cravats and vests mixed with workwear, all the things I love about Ralph, bringing things from day to night, from urban communities to East Hampton.” He likened the collection to traveling from Brooklyn to East Hampton, seamlessly fitting in.

The collection combined formal and casual styles indiscriminately, promoting an inclusive atmosphere in both model casting and fashion. Silk scarves transitioned into bandanas, and ties transformed into bags, echoing an up-cycling trend. Footwear spanned from leather sandals to velvet slippers and waterproof boots. Options for bags ranged from canvas totes to luxury snakeskin bags.

Eastwood expressed interest in a snakeskin bag, remarking, “This is just a classy brand that’s timeless.” He highlighted the enduring relationship between his father, Clint Eastwood, and Ralph Lauren. Golding acknowledged Ralph Lauren’s support throughout his career and declared the Purple label as his refined go-to choice.
