Riley Green, known for his country music, recently turned his attention to hunting. He spent time in Utah’s mountains, where he succeeded in taking down a bull elk using a compound bow. This adventure was shared by Green on Instagram, indicating a full freezer and expressing gratitude for the challenging experience.
Green’s social media post featured photos of a large bull elk, highlighting the animal’s impressive antlers. He also shared the demanding process of transporting the meat from the mountains.
For fans who follow Green beyond music, his hunting pursuits are well known. As a regular participant in bowhunting, Green has appeared on ‘Major League Bowhunter’ and was previously involved in a Montana elk hunt with the episode titled ‘3rd Times A Charm.’
Green has discussed the difficulty of balancing hunting seasons with his music career. On ‘Bussin’ With The Boys,’ he talked about the challenges of timed hunts, where short seasons and limited days make bowhunting a test against his touring lifestyle. Drawing elk tags consecutively in previous years allowed him scant opportunities to hunt.
Bowhunting is inherently demanding, requiring hunters to approach elk more closely than rifle hunters. Elk can weigh several hundred pounds and cover vast areas, intensifying the challenge. Nevertheless, Green connected all elements successfully during this recent outing.
Interestingly, Green wasn’t alone in his endeavor. Fellow country star Luke Combs also captured a bull elk in Utah, albeit switching from a bow to a rifle. Combs credited this hunt with aiding in his recent 30-pound weight loss.
Riley Green remained dedicated to bowhunting, completing his pursuit with perseverance. Both stars celebrated substantial achievements in the hunting sphere, showcasing their dedication and passion for the outdoors.
