Cristiano Ronaldo silenced his critics with an impactful performance against Uzbekistan. The match, part of the World Cup, saw him become the first player to score in six different tournaments. Uzbekistan is ranked 58th globally by FIFA. Ronaldo’s achievement is significant, as he leads in World Cup participation along with Argentina’s Lionel Messi.
The Portuguese legend scored two goals in Portugal’s 5-0 victory. At 41, he netted his first goal with a right-footed shot after receiving a cross from João Cancelo. His second came in the 39th minute with an assist from Bruno Fernandes. Ronaldo is now the second-oldest goal scorer in World Cup history, following Roger Milla from Cameroon, who achieved this feat at 42 years old during the 1994 tournament.
