Actress Rosie O’Donnell shared her views on ICE facilities in a TikTok video on Friday, likening them to Nazi Germany’s concentration camps. In her video titled, “Friday Ramble,” O’Donnell touched on various topics, including Dolly Parton’s recent death, before criticizing the Trump administration.
O’Donnell referenced the Holocaust, stating, “We all vowed ‘Never Again,’ remember?” She expressed concerns about the rise of fascism in the United States, asserting that the nation is creating concentration camps. She highlighted issues such as rounding up individuals without warrants and alleged abuses occurring in ICE detention centers.
“We’re making concentration camps. … We’re rounding up people without a warrant. We’re raping children in detention, in ICE detention. They’re all getting pregnant,” she stated.
O’Donnell further questioned the treatment and future of individuals in ICE centers, asking, “Who has access to those girls? What happens to their babies? What do they do with them?”
The actress, a well-known critic of Trump, attacked him in the video, claiming his presidency does not serve all people. “He doesn’t care about you one bit. This is not a president for all people,” she asserted. O’Donnell suggested that figures like Dolly Parton, who she described as having a heart, should lead.
Her criticism of Trump extends back to 2025 when she compared ICE operations to Nazi Germany’s, urging Americans to protest. “ICE, his own personal Gestapo — what will it take, America?” she queried.
In response, White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis criticized O’Donnell’s remarks as “gross,” citing recent ICE arrests of individuals accused of violent crimes. “This is gross. These types of comparisons of ICE to Nazis are contributing to our brave law enforcement officers facing a more than 1,300% increase in assaults,” Bis claimed.
Rosie O’Donnell and Donald Trump have had a long-standing feud. O’Donnell recently substituted as a guest host on Jimmy Kimmel’s show, referring to Trump as “orange Voldemort.”
Media analyst Joe Concha commented on O’Donnell’s views, attributing them to “Severe Trump Derangement Syndrome.” He suggested that her selection as a guest host was more about criticizing Trump than her comedic abilities.
