Senator Fetterman Criticizes Maine Senate Candidate Graham Platner

Senator John Fetterman, representing Pennsylvania, criticized Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner. Fetterman described Platner as a “creeper” and accused him of being a “Nazi sympathizer” amidst a recent scandal.

Fetterman expressed his concerns in Washington, D.C., following reports that Platner sent explicit messages to at least six women. Some messages were sent while Platner was married, and he reportedly used Kik, a chatting platform known for its loose identification procedures. These factors, Fetterman argued, suggest a decade-long concerning behavior by Platner.

“What kind of a creeper spends so much time on a platform like Kik and sends such explicit messages?” Fetterman remarked to CNN.

Fetterman also repeatedly criticized Platner for using the username “P-Hustle” on Reddit. Under this name, Platner allegedly made controversial comments, including minimizing sexual assault and offensive remarks about a wounded soldier.

Another point of contention highlighted by Fetterman was Platner’s tattoo resembling a Nazi symbol, which Platner had for 18 years before covering it.

“Growing up, seeing someone with a clear Nazi tattoo meant they were likely a Nazi sympathizer. Are you going to defend or dismiss that?” Fetterman questioned.

Despite the criticisms, Fetterman did not endorse Platner’s expected Republican opponent, Senator Susan Collins from Maine. He stressed the need for unity if Platner wins the election.

Fetterman also urged Democrats to take a stronger stance against Platner’s controversies, drawing parallels to past scandals.
