Stephanie Pratt’s Changing Stance on Her Brother’s Mayoral Campaign

Stephanie Pratt has shifted her support towards her brother Spencer Pratt’s mayoral campaign for Los Angeles after previously criticizing it. Initially, she labeled a vote for Spencer as a ‘vote for stupidity.’ However, her perspective has evolved.

In a recent statement to Vanity Fair, Stephanie admitted, ‘I was wrong.’ She commended her brother for his relentless efforts since the Palisades fire. According to her, Spencer has been dedicated to uncovering the truth about mistakes and negligence related to the disaster.

In February, Stephanie criticized Spencer’s candidacy in now-deleted social media posts. She acknowledged his work in the Palisades but doubted his qualifications for the mayoral role. She previously stated, ‘A vote for him is a vote for stupidity,’ and accused him of attempting to maintain fame and promote his memoir.

Despite her earlier statements, she expressed concerns about Los Angeles’ current issues in a post. Stephanie joked about running a local government but emphasized the city’s need for effective leadership. ‘I’m worried about LA,’ she wrote.

Stephanie also expressed personal reservations based on past experiences with her brother. She recounted an incident where Spencer allegedly harmed her, questioning his suitability for government roles. ‘Sorry he beat me up when I was 18 & put me in the hospital. So no, he doesn’t belong in the government,’ she shared.

Spencer entered the mayoral race on the anniversary of losing his home in the Palisades Fire. His campaign gained momentum as an anti-establishment choice. The race, involving Mayor Karen Bass and Council Member Nithya Raman, remains competitive ahead of the primary. A win in Los Angeles requires more than 50% of the vote or progressing as a top-two candidate.

Spencer has received endorsements from figures like Paris Hilton, Dennis Quaid, Katharine McPhee, and David Foster. Fox News Digital reached out to Spencer Pratt’s campaign for comments.
