In the 2025 season with the Detroit Lions, he achieved 11.0 sacks, 9.0 tackles for loss, 25 tackles, and 20 quarterback hits. Despite previous inconsistent performances with the New Orleans Saints, Indianapolis Colts, and Chicago Bears, he demonstrated significant ability last season.
Muhammad’s skills could complement teammates like Vea, Diaby, and Bain. His presence offers the possibility of exploiting favorable matchups against NFC South teams, such as the Carolina Panthers, who have two backup offensive tackles, and the Atlanta Falcons, who have an older lineup. While the New Orleans Saints remain competent, their offensive line is not a major threat.
If Muhammad capitalizes on these opportunities, he might contribute to the defense’s overall improvement and secure another contract. Should he fall short, this season may represent his final chance in the NFL as a pass-rush specialist.
