A dispute between two teachers at a Miami charter boarding school resulted in both being arrested. According to Miami-Dade Schools Police, Terrod Tiyan Torrence, 36, and Odiria Biggins, who previously shared a romantic relationship and have a child together, were involved in the incident.
A few days before the altercation, Biggins reported that Torrence left a note on her desk requesting a conversation. She met him on July 17 in Classroom 119 at The SEED School of Miami. What began as a conversation soon turned violent, with Torrence allegedly assaulting Biggins, according to investigators. She reportedly lost consciousness after being hit in the head.
After regaining consciousness, Biggins retrieved pepper spray from her vehicle and used it on Torrence elsewhere on campus. Surveillance footage showed Biggins entering another classroom to find Torrence, as reported by WSVN. The video captured the aftermath where Torrence appeared to struggle with walking and displayed signs of eye irritation. School staff intervened, and Torrence was hospitalized for treatment.
Biggins was arrested and charged with discharging a weapon on school property and misdemeanor domestic violence battery. She was given a $2,000 bond. Torrence faced a misdemeanor domestic violence battery charge and a $2,000 bond, with a pretrial no-contact order. His court date is set for September 23.
