Kyle Bickham, aged 29, lost his life on September 7 after being pushed from a Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Red Line train. Family members identified him later. The event happened during an altercation around 2:40 p.m., as reported by ABC7 Chicago. Authorities revealed that Bickham hit the electrified third rail and was then struck by another train. He was declared dead at the scene.

At the time of the incident, Kyle Bickham returned home from an overnight shift at an Amazon facility in Cicero. His family described him as hardworking and determined. His mother, Latanya Bickham, told ABC7 that her son was focused on making an honest living.
“He was just trying to make an honest day’s living, and this is what happened,” Latanya Bickham shared.

In response to the tragedy, Bickham’s brother, Chris Bickham Jr., started a GoFundMe campaign to cover funeral expenses. Chris described Kyle as a loving individual who brought joy to those around him.
“Kyle was a son, brother, uncle, family member, and friend who was loved by many,” he wrote. “He was a light, goofy, kind, caring, and always able to bring laughter to those around him. His passing was sudden, and our family is asking for help giving Kyle the homegoing he deserves and sending him home to the Lord.”
He added, “Kyle was loved. Kyle mattered. His light will never be forgotten.”
