Tessa Blanchard Leaves TNA for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre

Pro wrestling star Tessa Blanchard has parted ways with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). The company granted her release request on Tuesday, confirmed by Fox News Digital.

Blanchard will likely discuss her decision soon on Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre’s (CMLL) YouTube channel as she is currently performing there.

Known as a leading figure in women’s wrestling, Blanchard ranked No. 92 on Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s list last year. In 2019, she was ranked as high as No. 5.

During her career, she had significant achievements, including becoming the first woman to win the TNA World Championship. She also held the TNA Knockouts Championship.

Blanchard’s wrestling roots are deep. She is a third-generation pro wrestler as the daughter of Tully Blanchard and the granddaughter of promoter Joe Blanchard. Her stepfather is Magnum T.A.

She was part of TNA from 2018 to 2020 before rejoining in 2024 after stints with Women of Wrestling and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.

Her recent work included teaming with Victoria Crawford and Myla Moore. She recently defeated Harley Hudson on “Impact” and secured a victory against Jody Threat in a Bunkhouse Brawl.
