Toy Story 5: Digital Release and Bonus Features

The Toy Story series has been a cherished part of many people’s childhoods, leading to Toy Story 5 becoming a significant box office and critical success upon its June release. However, the anticipation does not conclude in theaters; it extends to the release of bonus features.

Toy Story 5 will be available digitally on August 18 and in 4K UHD/Blu-ray on September 22. One of the highlighted bonus features, revealed exclusively by Newsweek, is a deleted scene featuring Buzz Lightyear observing a group of campers, illustrating the unique storyline in the film.

The digital and 4K UHD/Blu-ray release will include several additional features:

  • A behind-the-scenes look at the film’s production.
  • A featurette on new cast members, such as Conan O’Brien and Greta Lee.
  • A fan-favorite gag reel.

The digital release will also offer Taylor Swift’s music video for ‘I Knew It, I Knew You.’ Those purchasing the limited edition 4K SteelBook on September 22 will get a collector’s item, often sought after by Disney enthusiasts who enjoy showcasing their collections.

The release aligns strategically with awards season, with Toy Story 5 likely competing in various categories, including Best Original Song for Taylor Swift and possibly Best Picture. For many fans, this means several more months to enjoy Pixar’s mastery of combining animation with emotional storytelling.
