Trump and Michael Cohen Reunite in Radio Interview

In a surprising turn of events, former President Donald Trump appeared on his former lawyer Michael Cohen’s radio show. The interview, conducted on a Thursday, marked their first public conversation in nearly ten years.

The discussion revisited a 2016 CNN interview where Cohen’s response, “says who,” to a question about Trump’s poll standings turned into a viral moment. Cohen recalled the incident with host Brianna Keilar and noted its impact.

“Do you remember, sir, when I went on CNN with Brianna Keilar, and she told me that you were underwater in the polls, and I responded with those famous two words, ‘says who,’ which became some worldwide meme,” Cohen recalled.

Trump agreed, reflecting on how the media used Cohen against him. He asserted, “You were weaponized like nobody’s ever been weaponized.” The two discussed their mutual experience of media scrutiny.

Cohen reminisced about Trump’s words of encouragement following the interview. Trump supposedly told him, “F— them. You’re stronger than them. We’ve got this,” which highlighted their alliance at the time.

The interview also touched on Trump’s criticism of media organizations. He specifically pointed out polls and coverage by The New York Times, expressing doubt in their accuracy and honesty.

“The polls are crooked. So the reporters that, you know, are crooked, many of them. But for the most part … when you read The New York Times, it’s so dishonest,” Trump remarked.

They acknowledged that despite widespread criticism, there are still commendable journalists working in the industry.

Fox News Digital sought comments from CNN, MS NOW, and The New York Times, but they did not respond immediately.

This 40-minute conversation will be aired in two parts, with the second segment scheduled for Cohen’s Sunday show, “When You Know You Know.” The interview represents a notable moment in the public discourse surrounding the relationship between Trump and Cohen.
