President Donald Trump, speaking at a campaign rally in Clarksville, Tennessee, proposed the idea of renaming additional bodies of water. This follows his previous attempts to change the names of the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Ontario.
During his speech, Trump highlighted the presence of significant bodies of water, saying, “We’ve got the gulf. We’ve got a beautiful lake.” He further stated, “Now, somebody said, you need a river. … We need a river. We need an ocean.”
The president’s comments have sparked diverse reactions, both supportive and critical, as they echo previous efforts to leave a personal mark on geographic features.
